Schloss Johannisberg Rheingau Riesling Spätlese Grünlack (VDP), 2010
Germany is famous for its sweet wines and this wine is a fine example. This Spätlese Grünlack has an intensive yellow color, complex aromas of honey, flowers and grapefruit as well as herbs create an intensive complex nose; mouth-feel of fresh acidity and perfect sweetness. Schloss Johannisberg is one of the references for Riesling in Germany with vineyards planted in front of the castle in the Rheingau region that has 1,200 years of history.
Serve at 10 - 12℃; enjoy this lovely sweet wine by itself as an after-dinner drink or with classic sweet cakes, desserts and dark chocolate; great companion to Chinese style sweet moon cakes.
