While still excellent quality, Gaja's Super Tuscan wines are only a fraction of the cost of their Piedmont wines and therefore can be considered relatively good values; the 2006 Magari has a dark ruby red color, black berries and black cherry nose and very pleasing combination of dark fruit and spice flavors with a hint of tobacco and oak; the finish is quite long and a little spicy; since Angelo Gaja took over the family business, Gaja's wide range of Piedmont and now also Tuscan wines have become among the most prized and expensive wines in the world.
Serve at 18℃; match with Roasted Pork, Wild Boar and Roasted Game Fowl.
