2008 was a classic vintage for Campania red wines as exhibited in this concentrated and structured wine that has a deep ruby red color, lively nose of red fruit and exotic spices and plenty of ripe red and black fruit flavors with good acidity a smooth lasting tannic finish; established in 1966, Cantini Sociale Solopaca is one of Campania’s best and most progressive cooperatives.
Allow 30+ minutes breathing and serve 18℃; nice with many meats but best with roasted and braised meats including Shandong Style Jinan Roast Duck and Anhui Style Huangshan Braised Pigeon.
24 months in Slavonian oak barrels and 6 months bottle aging.
Drink nicely now and can be cellared for another 5 years.
