One of the better Chinese white wines, this wine has a pale straw color with bright green hues, summer fruit aromas with notes of almond; plenty of citrus and pear flavors with vanilla hints and a nice clean finish. Founded in 1997 in Ningxia Province, China, the Helan Mountain Vineyards is a joint venture with French giant Pernod Ricard and is making increasingly good affordable white and red wines.
Serve at 8℃; nice with seafood and white meats; also a special treat when paired with Cantonese style steamed qaroupa.
A few months in oak.
Drink now or within the next few years.
