Fine, typically new world Pinot Noir. The wine has deep red-purple color; bouquet of plum, hawthorn jelly, cherry, cinnamon bark, lilac and dried plum; the body is moderately full and round with fine smooth tannins, as well as medium acidity and fresh flavors of fruits with an elegant and balanced long finish of plum and dark chocolate. Making wines for over half a century, Villa Maria Estate has the distinction of being New Zealand's most awarded winery with exports to over 50 countries.
