This is a rich and complex Rioja Reserva red. The deep ruby-garnet red colored wine features a nose of ripe fruit, spice and balsamic notes; the palate is elegant and full of refreshing fruit flavors and round tannins leading to a long finish with hints of toasted oak, enhanced by a lovely soft mouth-feel. Established in 1858, Marqués de Riscal was among the first producers to bring Bordeaux winemaking technology to Rioja. The company produces a wide range of medium-priced and premium wines.
Decant for 1+ hour and serve at 16 - 18℃; this wine matches well with steaks and lamb chops, and is also very pleasing with grilled Inner Mongolian leg of lamb.
26 months in American oak and 12 months bottle aging.
Drink now or cellar for 10 - 15 years.
