This Pinot Noir nicely illustrates the terroir of Yarra Valley. The 2010 wine presents a cherry-red color, fresh fruity aromas of ripe plum, raspberry and cherry, as well as a hint of licorice; the wine has a medium-full body with flavors of rich cherry and ripe red berry, with good acidity and round tannins and a respectably long finish. Established in 1838, Yering Station is one of the oldest and most recognized winemakers in Yarra Valley with a wide range of acclaimed wines; the winery has been awarded the highest rating of 5 stars by Australian wine expert James Halliday.
