Kracher Cuvée Beerenauslese, 2008 (375ml)
This is a deliciously complex botrytis-affected sweet wine from Austria. The 2008 wine has a very bright medium-gold color, enticing and seductive aromas of candied peach and honey accented with intriguing notes of smoke; concentrated ripe yellow fruit flavors and remarkable minerality lead to a very clean and tangy finish. Kracher is a family winery located in eastern Austria near the border with Hungry that produces a range of widely acclaimed sweet wines, and now also dry wines.
Serve at 8℃; by its beautiful self or with any kind of dry biscuit, cake or dried fruit.
80% fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, 20% aged in large oak casks for 16 months.
Lovely now but can be cellared for decades.
