Winner of countless awards around the world, Planeta's Chardonnay has become even more elegant and balanced in recent years. The wine has a rich golden color with greenish hue, intense aromas of figs and peaches; plenty of ripe yellow fruit flavors with mineral sensations and a long smooth finish; the elegant balance between fruit and acidity is impressive. The family-owned Planeta is now one of the best known, and most admired, Italian producers with five wineries in different regions of Sicily that make consistently excellent wines.
Serve about 10℃; the acidity of this wine make it appropriate for many seafood, cheese and white meat dishes; also great with Cantonese style crispy chicken and Shanghai style old fashion smoked fish.
Fermented and aged in French oak.
Lovely now but will gain complexity over the next 5 years.
