Not surprisingly in this excellent 2003 vintage for Beaujolais Nouveau comes a very good Beaujolais form Louis Jadot, one of Burgundy's best big producers. The dark purple colored wine has a ripe fruit bouquet with overtones of gentle spice. Flavors of ripe red and black cherries are balanced with a nice crispness. The natural acidity of this wine makes it a very nice match with grilled slamon or baked cod in a cream sauce. The wine also matches nicely with a wide variety of cold meats and cheeses. Serve this wine at 13 C.
