One of the few California reds to emphasize elegance over power, this modestly priced wine offers plenty of graceful dark fruit flavors. The wine has an almost purple-brick red color with a subtle fruit and spice bouquet. This light to medium bodied wine develops very in the mouth where it exhibits good complexity. While by no means a great wine, 2000 in general was a good vintage for Napa and this wine is one of the very few high quality Napa Cabernet Sauvignon wines available in Taiwan for under $1,000. This wine matches very nicely with veal dishes and a variety of Cantonese and Shanghai meat dishes. Serve this wine at 18 C.
