This Bordeaux style wine is made with mostly Merlot grapes but also contains Carmenere, a Bordeaux grape now only used in South America, and Cabernet Sauvignon; the wine has a deep garnet red color, red fruit and spices nose and abundant plumy fruit flavors and gentle tannins; this is an elegant, well made wine that matches well with grilled beef and lamb dishes; in 1870, Don Maximiano Errazuriz founded the Errazuriz Winery in the Aconcagua Valley; now run by Eduardo Chadwick, the 5th generation descendant of the founder, the company makes some of Chile's finest wines.
