One of the best sparkling Burgundies available in Asia, this wine is a blend of four different Burgundy varieties and a terrific good value alternative to Champagne; the wine has a nice pale yellow color with well-formed small bubbles, an expressive red fruit and floral nose and plenty of red fruit and peach flavors; the bubble are respectably persistent and the wine has quite a nice clean finish; match with a wide variety of seafood, this wine also matches quite well with Indian and Pakistani dishes; in 1972 a group of Burgundy wineries purchased the caves named Caves de Bailly to make and store sparkling wines; the caves hold about 5,000,000 bottles of quality wine that are marketed internationally by Blasons de Bourgogne.
