Elegantly attractive, rather than overtly powerful like many new World Chardonnays, this wine features a pale yellow and green grass color, mineral and metallic nose and pleasant apple and yellow fruit flavors with good acidity; owned by the Catena family that has been making wines since 1902, Argento produces a range of international style good value wines.
No breathing required, serve at 10℃; this is a well-balanced white wine that matches nicely with Chinese seafood dishes as well as light pasta dishes.
3 months in oak and 5 months bottle aging.
Best consumed now but can be cellared for another 2 years.
