Fine combination of exuberance and style, this well-made Chardonnay has a medium-deep golden color, intriguing nose of green apples, toast and flowers and lots of fresh, ripe pear and citrus avors with subtle hints of oak in a clean, crisp nish; this is a well made wine with excellent fruit and acidity balance; one of the rst vineyards founded in the Spring Mountain District, Napa Valley, Newton Vineyards winery was established in 1977 by Peter Newton and Dr. Su Hua. The slope of the hills provides ideal exposure to the sun and the high elevation provides cooler temperatures that give wine greater complexity. The winery's other vineyards are 90 seated in the Los Carneros region, where the temperature is manipulated by the breezes and fogs from San Pablo Bay in the south. Los Carneros is especially well knownfor the production of premium Chardonnays.
Serve at 10 ℃; the fresh acidity of the wine makes this wine a lovely afternoon drink or aperitif, also very nice with pastas with cream or cheese sauces as well as Chinese white meat dishes like Crispy Skin Chicken.
