Barone Ricasoli Castello di Brolio Vin Santo del Chianti Classico (DOCG), 2003 (375ml)

Dark golden-yellow color, complex fruity and nutty nose and concentrated elegant yellow fruit, honey and coffee flavors with a long, pleasantly clean finish; this is an excellent Vina Santo that has an exceptional sweet fruit and acidity balance; established in 1141 by the Ricasoli family and returned to family ownership in 1993; the estate is run by the 32nd Barone Ricasoli, Francesco Ricasoli, producing award-winning wines that are among Italy's finest.

Serve chilled about 10℃; this is an excellent contemplative wine served alone after dinner, but also quite nice with high-quality dark chocolate as well as sweet moon cakes, especially Red Bean Moon Cakes.

Several years in oak barriques.

Lovely now but will keep for a decade.
