Elegant blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, the 2002 wine has a deep red color with black tones, generous nose of leather and coffee and rich dark berry flavors with a velvety texture; Owned by the Bruwer family, Springfield Estate is run by the brother and sister, Abrie and Jeanette, and making a range of distinctive wines with high quality.
Allow 30+ minutes for breathing and serve at 18°C; match with flavorful cheese and spicy poultry.
18 months in oak and 18 months for bottle aging.
Drink nicely now and can be cellared for another 8~10 years.
