Don't confuse this Kiwi white with Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs, this excellent Martinborough wine has a distinct personality. The 2012 wine has a straw yellow color with hint of green, extroverted nose of citrus fruit and herbs; expressive apple, pineapple and pear flavors with a lasting fresh finish. One of New Zealand's best wineries, family-owned Craggy Range has been an important pioneer in making premium and super premium single vineyard wines in New Zealand.
Serve at 8℃; good with many types of raw and cooked seafood; try with Hunan style deep-fried sea bass with dry red chilis.
Partially fermented and aged 4 months in French oak.
Drink now or within the next 3 years.
