Excellent single vineyard Chardonnay with a bight greenish-gold color, exquisite nose of yellow fruit, minerals and honey and concentrated flavors of tropical fruit, vanilla and toasty oak; the wine has good acidity and a long pleasing finish that elegantly hints at the 11 months the wine was aged in French oak; at 13.7% alcohol this is a heady wine that matches well with shellfish and elegant fish dishes including Chilean sea bass; established in 1883 by lawyer-politician Don Melchor Cocha y Toro, Concha y Toro is one of Chile's biggest producers with a reputation for high quality, good value wines.
