Consistently good, reasonably priced red Bordeaux, this wine features a purple-red color, dark fruit and spice nose and dark berries and plum flavors with very ample tannins; this is a medium to full bodied wine with good concentration and a respectably long finish; the 2000 vintage with its 13% alcohol content is a very ripe Bordeaux with uncommon richness; located in the extreme east of the Bordeaux region, the Parenchere estate dates from 1731; Chateau Parenchere has developed a reputation as one of Bordeaux's best value red wines.
Serve at 18℃, the wine matches well with grilled steaks, lamb chops and pigeon.
12 months in French oak.
Enjoy now, or cellar for 7~8 years.
