Unlike most of Europe, the 2002 vintage in Rheinhassen was quite good and the Auslese from Madonna is a very good semi sweet wine with light yellow color with hints of green and a lively nose of sweet yellow fruit and exotic spices and pleasant sweet melon, citrus and honey flavor with a nice slightly acidic finish; match with a wide variety of western and Asian seafood dishes as well as German and French innards dishes; founded in 1786, Valckenberg GmbH is one of Germany's biggest and best known producers exporting good value, quality wines worldwide.
