At just over $500, this is a very satisfying Chilean Chardonnay with good fruit and balance.

The wine has a pale golden color and light citrus-floral bouquet. This medium-bodied wine offers good green apple, unripe pear and vanilla flavors. For an inexpensive Chardonnay, the wine is impressively round and creamy in the mouth. The wine has a pleasant oak finish. Enjoy this wine with a wide variety of seafood dishes including Deep Fried Soft Shell Crabs, Broiled King Prawn with Butter Sauce and Alaskan King Crab Claws. Serve this wine chilled, about 8 - 10℃.

Caliterra is a joint venture between Errazuriz and Robert Mondavi. The Eduardo Chadwick family originally created Caliterra in 1989 as a sister project to the family-owned Vina Errazuriz of Chile. In 1996, Robert Mondavi purchased 50% of Caliterra. The new money and expertise contributed by Mondavi have resulted in significantly better wines.
